Ageeba Kromah
Ageeba, born in Liberia and raised in Belgium, finds his artistic influence primarily in his life in Belgium. While his country of birth has little direct impact on his work, he draws inspiration from everyday life, personal experiences, and the music he consumes.
He mainly works with pen and paper but is open to experimenting with other materials. His creative process is spontaneous and intuitive; he writes whenever he feels inspired, often without a clear end goal. He greatly values the element of surprise in his work.
Recurring themes in his art include love, hate, loneliness, hope, faith, contradictions, strength, evolution, and pain. While his work is not explicitly political, it offers a critical perspective on society, focusing on broader social structures.
Ageeba collaborates with collectives such as Fameus, Archipel, Tram 3, SOSO, and Kibi Academy. At the moment, he has no ongoing projects but is looking forward to publishing a book. His long-term goal is to achieve both personal and professional growth, in both art and event organization.
